The trailer

As most of you guys know, this movie is actually based on the famous novel with the similar title by John Green.
I've heard of it for quite awhile because it's a super mainstream novel for now but I haven't got the chance to read it.
Now after watching it, I had the rush of hunting this book down and read it right away so I can relive the movie plot.

Le e-Ticket :D

So I went to Village Cinemas, Jam Factory half an hour early to secure my seat and it's my very first time watching a movie alone in the cinema. I didn't ask anyone to tag along with me because I am too shy to let anyone see me cry especially my friends LOL.

AND DAMN RIGHT I DID.
Should have brought tissues with me >:(
So girls, please prepare tissues or handkerchief if you're just as cry baby as me.

..

I am not good at reviews but I can let you know what I feel about this movie though.
& before you continue reading, please excuse my poor grammar if it annoys you.

Main Casts:
Shailene Woodley as Hazel

Ansel Elgort as Augustus Waters
p/s: I didn't find him attractive at first but well, he sure did make us all swoon in this movie!

*spoiler alert*

It started off with Hazel talking about her life, and she's a cancer patient who still survive even though her cancer is at a critical stage. She describe herself as a grenade because she might be gone anytime soon. She's suffering from thyroid cancer and it's affecting her lungs that disable her to breath properly.(That sucks!) Bla bla bla she met Augustus in the support group and then the love blossoms.
The movie doesn't just involve these two but also Hazel's parents & Augustus funny friend name Isaac.

That's where all the tears started. After half an hour of the movie (I think).

When Augustus tells Hazel that he wanted to read the book which Hazel loves it so much, An Imperial Affliction by Peter van Houten and Hazel has to read Augustus' favorite book in return.
I've to admit their relationship are pretty cute.

Go watch it yourself! Enough of spoilers for now :P

I shall continue on with all the quotes which I love from this movie.

A fan even made the compilation of it :D

& alot more.

But the most touching one for me would be Hazel's Eulogy for Gus.

"My name is Hazel. Augustus Waters was the great star-crossed love of my life. Ours was an epic love story, and I won't be able to get ore than a sentence into it without disappearing into a puddle of tears. Gus knew. Gus knows. I will not tell your our love story, because - like all real love stories - it will die with us, as it should. I'd hoped that he'd be eulogizing me, because there's no one I'd rather have... I can't talk about our love story, so I will talk about math. I am not a mathematician, but I know this. There are infinite numbers between 0 and 1. There's .1 and .12 and .112 and an infinite collection of others. Of course, there is a bigger infinite set of numbers between 0 and 2, or between 0 and a million. Some infinities are bigger than other infinities. A writer we used to like taught us that. There are days, many of them, when I resent the size of my unbounded set. I want more numbers than I'm likely to get, and God, I want more numbers for Augustus Waters than he got. But, Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. I wouldn't trade it for the world. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I'm grateful." - Hazel's eulogy
:')

It's been awhile since I watch such movie. The last movie that made me tear so bad (but not as bad as this), I think it's the movie name The Sister's Keeper? But yeah, The Fault in Our Stars definitely top that because it made me cry throughout the movie .______.

And the best part was, you can see everyone sobbing with you at the same time haha :')

It makes you think a lot about your life and how grateful you should be.

The movie/book is neither the ordinary love story or predictable ones and yeah, I wasn't expecting the ending to turn out this way. Sort of depressing. Heart wrenching.

If only I have Auguster Waters as my boyfriend. COME ON OUT ALREADY.

But it is kinda impossible for the love at first sight thing to happen nowadays lol

.

...

That's all I wanna share about the movie experience.
I really encourage you to watch it!
It's not a waste of time.
Not a waste of tears either.

Till then xx.

*burst into tears. again.*
